Would You Take a Work Vacation?

Picture this: you're snuggled up in a big, comfy, soft suede chair. A charred, flickering, winter-perfect fire is popping and crackling next to you. Hot coffee, with the perfect amount of Bailey's Irish Cream thrown in for good measure, is steaming on your side table. A chunky blanket, strewn over your lap, keeps the chilly air at bay. And as you look up, you see that a fine mist has started falling softly outside your window. And you, you are click-click-clicking away on your computer totally focused on work. Happily planning your businesses' next big moves.

Would you take a working vacation?

But you're not at home - you're on vacation. A solo I'm-gonna-rock-the-shit-out-of-my-business-in-2013 vacation where you can finally sort out all the thoughts swirling around in your head, get them down on paper (or pixel), twist and mold them into making sense, and putting together a plan that would not only light a fire under your ass, create excitement around your products or services, but make you some money, too.

(And isn't that what this is all about?)

I'm not talking just an afternoon away or a day off from work - I'm talking an entire weekend devoted to nothing but you, your business, and your future.

Would you do it? Would you take a solo vacation where the only purpose was to eat, sleep, and strategize for your business? Why or why not?

More importantly - where would you go? Dreamers, please leave a comment.
